The Blues Bar was a great rediscovery for me in 2015 and this particular night was the best; you couldn't turn round in there without knocking into another fine musician just itching to get on that stage. There was a good mix between the sexes, a representative range of young, middling sorts and baby boomers and people of many countries and from different branches of the human family. The night feels properly democratic and inclusive, so it get's my vote. Every other Monday night, it's hosted by the charming and talented Davide Mazzantini, so there's going to be much more blues in 2016. Can't wait.
